How we multiplied email capture rate by 18 and direct sales conversion rate by 4 while getting our client featured in 3000 large news outlets within 18 months.

OUR CLIENT.

Hexo+ is a Self-Flying Camera / Autonomous drone that lets you capture amazing footage from above and produce beautiful aerial images. Hexo+ raised more than 1.3 million USD on Kickstarter and won several industry awards, including two Best of CES awards and the Innovation and Design Award at CES. This autonomous drone flies by itself so that you can take it anywhere and enjoy each moment, knowing that Hexo+ is doing all the work.

CHALLENGES.

We had to transition from a product launch on Kickstarter to an e-shop where products can be sold. The website needed to generate as much revenue as possible from the end of the Kickstarter campaign to the product shipping that allowed Hexo+ to sell to their distributors. We had to increase the amount of qualified traffic, then increase the number of direct sales of drones on their website.

HOW WE DID IT.

ONLINE PR:

Transformed company decisions and milestones into newsworthy content. Distributed that content to influential Key Opinion Leaders that create a snowball effect when they write. Enriched the relationship between Hexo+ and all media partners by consistently giving value to the latter.

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION

We analysed Hexo+ and their competitors' landscape in order to pick the best keywords to optimise their SEO. We then created content specifically to target and appeal to those segments. Finally, we used a well-thought-out back linking strategy to get the most out of Hexo+ mentions.

Conversion Rate Optimisation

We identified the ``ideal buyer's profile`` and put ourselves in their shoes. Knowing that the product was quite expensive at $1300USD, we had to increase trust and give detailed information of the drone, with visuals, technical specifications, contents of the shipping box, warranties, etc.

Paid Traffic Campaigns

After building a community for the drone and delighting their fans, we targeted specific audiences with impressive and timely content to keep it live. We then kept enriching and giving value to their community and started creating sales-driven campaigns. Lastly, we added timely offers and linked Hexo+ overall branding, social media assets, email marketing campaigns and the website landing pages to be consistent and converting.
